One- on- One Fitness Coaching
All One-on-One Fitness Coaching includes the following:
1. Assessment & interpretation of results
The assessment is a necessary first step toward developing a program based on individual needs. In the assessment, the practitioner will assess posture, joint range of motion, core functioning, and the bio- mechanics of basic movements required in daily life. This in- depth assessment will clarify your starting point, which will in- turn give both the practitioner and the client a more clear picture of the starting point and how to proceed toward the goal. The restoration of balance within the structure of the body is essential prior to beginning any strength, power or sport specific training; failure to respect this reality serves to accelerate the rate of potential injury onset.
2. Program design
After a thorough assessment has been completed, the practitioner will design a specific program based on each individual client’s needs and goals. Each program will run from 4-8 weeks; the length depends on the client’s goals, injury history, movement/ exercise background as well as the client’s time commitment to their goals. Regular program design is necessary to prevent the body from plateauing, to prevent boredom with the routine as well as decrease the risk of injury from repetitive movement patterns.
3. Program implementation
Define your commitment and motivation levels- this will assist you in deciding which program is right for you and your needs. Decide how much supervision you need to assist you in implementing these changes: Are you self- motivated and need a coach simply for guidance and education? Or do you know that you need regular sessions to keep you on track as you work to adopt permanent changes in your lifestyle & health? There are packages designed to address all of these needs.
4. Re- evaluation & program progression
Regular re-evaluations will be performed to assess client progress. The re-evaluation will serve as a foundation for program progressions. These will be performed within a regular session.
